I think that such behavior by some participants towards Ms Shetty is unacceptable. We r not bothered or care about big brother or british society as such. But persistence of racism makes other civilizations sit up and rethink about the British.

Girly rivalry? I personally think that when 3 individuals in a closed environment actively join forces and display both mental and physical negativity against another individual then this could be noted as bullying. More so, when the individual being attacked is deemed as 'top rate' role model for millions of children and adults in the world’s fastest growing economy; I can’t imagine that any of the 'rivalry' displayed is as a result of any irregular behaviours or inabilities to conform to the big brother house. This is a classic case of two things. One, bullying. The jelousy of the three girls in the house have forced them to 'pick' on minor points that would pass the normal eye in a more natural set of circumstances. These 'minor' points (if they are even that) have been fuelled by individuals so much that they are in able to see clearly of anything else. The 'hatred' group is now formed and for an individual to say “NO” and to take a step away; it is too late as they may become 'hated and bullied' also. As for racism, well, to take the 'mic' out of an individual in the BBH for having say big feet may be deemed as banter or if done consistently in a very negative manor; bullying. To consistently make comments in a negative manor about an individual with remarks to their cultural background and country of origin; this I would believe is classed as RACISM!!!!!!! More so RACISM AND BULLYING!!!!!!!!! Shilpa Shetty is by far the BIGGEST star that has ever walked into the BBH. Her achievements and status in India has seen her to live only the utter highest qualities of life and etiquette imaginable. She is deemed as a high rate role model and is without a doubt a beautiful and stunning (mentally and physically) multi millionaire. Her achievements in Bollywood have seen her to be thought of and treated as well and most probably better than individuals such as Tom Cruz and other first rate A lister’s. I urge all Big Brother viewers to act on this horrific display of tolerance from the producers of big brother and to continue to comment and write in too put a stop to this behaviour.

Well done Big Brother for showing that the 'advanced' western world can accommodate such ill and backward behaviour. It’s quite ironic that we all teach our children to treat all as equals and the government spend so much to 'stop bullying' in schools and all you do is take 3 role models for young children and allow them to publicly display all forms of not only bullying but racism to one of the most perfect individuals that have walked in to your 'money making' schemes. Fantastic achievement Big Brother, lets keep it up and see how long it takes for someone to get really pi**ed off and call Shilpa a P*ki. If that would be your only clue to racism then as a young Asian guy myself; I would have hated to have been any of your class mates whilst growing up. Do the right thing and be show that the values taught to children today are not consistent with the three individuals being racist and bullying Shilpa Shetty in the Big Brother house.

Big Brother is not enjoyable to watch anymore. If you don’t call this bullying or racism then i don’t what is anymore, are we waiting for some phisical abuse before we can qualify this as a racist?? I feel so sorry for this girl.

Jades boyfriend Jack has called her a fuckin paki - they are trying to cover it up. Everyone is devastated by the behaviour of the producers on this, promoting racism is horrendous. I have complained to OFCOM and everyone feels terrible about it. This show does not represent British behaviour. Shilpa, Jermaine & Dirk are the stars and by far the best people in every way. There are girls in there who are ridiculed in this country for being ignorant, thick, shallow.
They should never have been given the chance to go on the show - but these girls will do anything to stay in the tabloid press.
Whoevers decision it was to include the racist element - Jack, Jade, Jo, Danielle is going to have to do a lot of explaining. Viewers are on Shilpas side, we will not let this carry on even if the producers wont stop it.
She is fantastic and a wonderful example to many British women, we adore her.

this statement is harsh and unacceptable but it needs to be taken in the context of how controlling shilpa is and the frustration of her not listening to genuine concerns about undercooked chicken, which in the uk is a serious issue.... and her general control of the shopping list etc. shilpa has herself made fun and poked at jane goody’s accent and lower class... but this is okay? I think all the contestants to be made aware of the effect of their words and actions. It is not just welcome to 'my' shilpa’s world in the house. I wish shilpa realised the effect she is having on other contestants too.

It’s sad that it’s the foreigners in Celebrity Big Brother who truly represent what Britain is supposed to stand for: acceptance, fairness, multiculturalism, good manners. Instead, we have vulgar, ignorant, shallow bullies who are embarrassing the nation. This has nothing to do with their class, these people are just rotten. At least Ian “H” Watkins has a brain and a heart. I hope that viewers realize that there are Brits out there, of all races and cultures, who are better people than Jade, Jo, Danielle, Jackiey and Jack.

I am a black male writer and teacher and have noted with interest how the interaction between the girls concerned and the beautiful indian princess is one of obvious racism and this is not base on just 'beauty' as claimed by the media if this had been a beautiful blonde woman the bullies would have had no problem. We the viewers are getting frustrated as nothing is done in resolving or prohibiting any further occurrence of these humiliating and disturbing series of events taking place.

Ms Shilpa Shetty is bullied and harassed by Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd, and Jo O’Meara (three fellow house mates) to an extent that it’s unbearable.

Tens of thousand viewers collectively demand that an investigation must take place against channel 4 for violation of the anti-discriminatory laws in the name of entertainment. So far channel 4 is arguing that they can’t do any thing as Shilpa has said nothing about her treatment. What they seem to forget is that most of things have been said behind her back. She has been targeted & victimised due to her colour, nationality, cultural values, religious believes, social status and looks.

The housemates (Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd, Jo O’Meara and Jack) have been bullying and harassing her from day one; discussing Shilpa as disgusting as soon as they wake up, scheming & plotting their hatred against her. Their hatred towards Shilpa has reached such an extreme that some of them are having dreams about having a fight with Shilpa and her family members wearing saris’ (Indian national dress) while bollywood dancers are dancing in the background. If this is not racist, bullying and harassment than what would you call this?

I would like to remind channel 4 it doesn’t matter if they or the housemates believe whatever is happening in the BB house is benter, innocent, silly or girly fight. The anti- bullying & harassment legislation explains clearly that it’s the perception of the recipient or of a third person who was grieved by it.
