Islamabad, Sept 5 : Citing security reasons, the British High Commission in Islamabad last evening closed its visa application centre for an indefinite period.
"We have closed the visa application centre after receiving a threatening phone call," the Daily Times quoted a British High Commission official as saying.
She said that the closure was temporary and the centre would resume its operation after assessing the threat.
The unnamed official, however, did not elaborate on the nature of the threat.

im deeply disturbed
I am to get there before the 20th..i still havent submitted my application and i guess i will have to miss a very crucial academic year for some reason that is not under my control and not done by me..this is sad! but the VAC should atleast take in applications from students as we are the ones suffering the most!

LITTLE REQUEST
WELL I HAVE SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION O4 SEPTEMBER, BUT STILL I HAVE GOT NO RESPONSE FROM THE UK VISA SECTION UK.
MY CLASSES WILL BE START ON 22 OF OCT.

Shift to Visas Application to secure place
Well in Pakistan there is bloody Bomber they have no religious.Why they are doing bad things mean sucide bombing and calling to Visas Application Center.They have no right but I think Visas Application Center shift to secure area.
If Pakistan Governement and Britsih High commission shift Visas Application center to Blue Area or safe place with tight security it will be better.
No one will be able to target Visas Application center just like Britsh Embassy and other Embassy in islam abad. Why they are not shifting.

Just open the visa application centre
Dear Sirs,
It is my message to all of that guys who are participating in suicide attacks. Please please,,,,,,,,it is my request to all of you that you will go to direct paradise by good work and actions and not like this as you are putting yourself as a suicide bomber and killing innocent peoples and make their families in a very very big problem. Again this is a appeal from me not to do like this . In this way how we can say that we are Muslims. Only this is the message which I have to convey. Be patient, be cool and do not come in the hands of uneducated mullahs and extremists which do not put himself as a suicide bomber. I am a student and submit my application for study so please reopen the application centre as soon as possible and I am not sure that may I attend the class at the right schedule.

Plz reopen VAC
I am requesting to the British high commission please reopen the VAC as soon as possible because many students are waiting to obtain uk student visa,this is not fair with us.my college will not accept me after 2 months because duration of my course is start now, i am very disappointed to this situation i am not understand what should i do?
This is my question to all of you please tell me can i still apply for student vise for this year or not?or college will accept me in this session.
