Drunken Winehouse banned from swimming by Caribbean resort staff
United Kingdom News.Net Friday 3rd July, 2009 (ANI)
London, Jul 3 : Staff at the luxury Caribbean resort have banned troubled singer Amy Winehouse from swimming in their pool, as she does so after marathon boozing sessions.
Bosses at the Cotton Bay complex in St Lucia were worried about the 25-year-old star's habit of swimming after drinking, and feared that she might drown in the pool.
"Staff have found Amy on a number of occasions collapsed on the grass by the pool after going for a swim," the Sun quoted a source as saying.
"There are concerns that one night she won't be able to get out of the water and something tragic will happen.
"She's regularly drinking large quantities of wine and rum and no one in her condition should be going anywhere near water," the source added. Email this story to a friend
