EFF deputy secretary general Hlengiwe Mkhaliphi has joined her party's top leaders in post graduate studies, graduating with an Honours Degree in Public Administration at the University of South Africa (Unisa) on Wednesday night.
Mkhaliphi wore her belt to songs at Unisa on Wednesday evening from her supporters and colleagues, including the party's chairperson Dali Mpofu and Treasurer General Leigh Mathys.
The party prides itself in making education fashionable within its leadership, with its top leaders holding one or more qualifications, and others furthering their studies.
The most notable is the party's spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi who graduated with a PhD in Philosophy in Political Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in 2017.
Party leader Julius Malema holds a BA Honours degree in Philosophy from Unisa, while his deputy Floyd Shivambu has a Masters Degree in Political Studies - also from Wits. Shivambu is currently enrolled for a PhD at the same institution.
In addition, EFF chairperson Dali Mpofu graduated with an LLB law degree and a BProc degree respectively from Wits while the party's secretary general Godrich Gardee has a Higher National Diploma in Accounting and Auditing. He is currently studying towards a law degree through Unisa.
