The Curtis Cup and two other amateur golf championships were postponed Wednesday due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews said the Curtis Cup will move from June to 2021 and the British Amateur and British Women's Amateur will move from June to August.

The Curtis Cup, which pits female amateurs from the United States against a team from Britain and Ireland, had been scheduled for June 12-14 at Conwy Golf Club in Wales. The RA and the United States Golf Association said the new date has not been determined.

Curtis Cup captains Sarah Ingram of the U.S. and Elaine Ratcliffe of England will retain their roles in 2021. They had been scheduled to fill out their rosters later this month.

The British Amateur was slated for June 15-20 at Royal Birkdale, and the British Women's Amateur was set for June 23-27 at Kilmarnock in Scotland.
