WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is planning to fight in London on Dec. 5, but his opponent still remains to be revealed.

"I'd just like to announce I'm definitely fighting December the 5th in London. Opponent to be announced very, very soon," said Britain's Fury on Saturday in a video message posted on social media. "Just working on some opponents. Let you all know who it's going to be shortly."

The 32-year-old Fury, who won the WBC belt off American Deontay Wilder in February, announced in June that he had agreed to a two-fight deal with fellow Englishman Anthony Joshua.

The agreement, in principle, moved Fury and Joshua closer to the first unified heavyweight championship bout in 20 years, according to promoter Eddie Hearn. However, both sides said that the first bout would not take place until 2021.

Already set for Dec. 5 at Royal Albert Hall in London is a fight between Ireland's undefeated Michael Conlan and Ghanaian-British Isaac Dogboe, the former WBO junior featherweight champion. According to a report by ESPN, that fight is expected to be part of the Fury card.

Fury holds the WBC and lineal heavyweight championships but must first take a rematch with Wilder, who exercised his contractual right to an immediate third fight after Fury won their second meeting on Feb. 22. The third fight was scheduled for July but was postponed due to the coronavirus. Fury and his co-promoter Frank Warren recently expressed doubt that a third fight with would happen in 2020.

Joshua holds three titles -- the WBO, WBA and IBF belts -- thanks to his win to reclaim the titles from Mexico's Andy Ruiz. A mandatory bout with Bulgaria's Kubrat Pulev is set for Dec. 12 at London's O2 Arena after being postponed in June due to the coronavirus pandemic.
